DIY MIDI
MIDI control of analog devices from Michael Una on Vimeo.
Check out this vid of fellow keymasher, Michael Una, explaining his DIY MIDI In/Out projects made from kits by HighlyLiquid. There is a MIDI CPU kit that I am considering myself to build a controller for Ableton. Check this sh*t out!

heRobust & the Left Field Experiment
I recently went to a show at an East Atlanta venue called 529 where Hayden Kramer (better known as HeRobust) was headlining a night dedicated to the "Left Field Experiment," as presented by Speakeasy Promotions. The night consisted of beats only a true 21st century beat-smith / keymasher could attempt to create.
HeRobust's set included a variety of styles pulled from a mix of genres, reminiscent of the west coast beat scene by the likes of flying lotus and other experimentalists. It's exciting to see a new movement popping up that kind of embodies the reason why I got started in keymashing in the first place.. to expand creatively and have fun.
You can read an interview about the Atlanta beat scene and what the Left Field Experiment is all about at Speakeasy Promo's website::

To give you a taste of HeRobust's upcoming February 1st double album, "Light Nate / Morning After," check the song below, "Facebook Lift."
